Heart Touching Poetry

WHISPERING MY HEART, VERY SHORT

WHISPERING MY HEART, VERY SHORT.

In the land of murmurs, quiet and quaint,
Lived a heart that whispered, with no restraint.
It was very short, not tall nor grand,
But its whispers echoed across the land.

With every beat, a hushed decree,
Saying “listen close, it’s just me!”
But oh, this heart, so very small,
Its whispers barely heard at all.

It tried to woo with romantic flair,
But ended up causing quite a scare.
For when it whispered, “I love you true,”
Folks thought it was just the wind that blew.

Its secrets, too, were quite a jest,
As it whispered,”I hid the treasure chest!”
But alas,in its very short measure,
The chest was hidden beneath a tiny treasure.

So here’s to the heart, so small and sly,
Whispering secrets to the open sky.
Though very short, its whispers bright,
Bring laughter and joy, day and night.
