The Moral Struggle Between Vice and Virtue

This  poem is the moral struggle between vice and virtue.  “Vice and Virtue” draws a compelling contrast between the seductive pull of vice and the noble pursuit of virtue. This contrast between vice and virtue paints a vivid picture of how easily people can be swayed by group dynamics. This poem reflects how virtue must be cultivated through conscious effort, while vice thrives almost effortlessly. Let’s delve into poem and we will make discussion on it’s theme.

The Path to Virtue: A Conscious Choice

Vice and virtue

Whenever, I get the chance to give in vice,

The vice bound me and gives me visit of street, thrice.

Where, I never find myself alone,

My friends also join the vice, golden brown.

In the crowd, vice finds its strength,

A collective darkness, where it takes its length.

With my fellows, the vice is promoted with an art,

So therefore, the intended virtue is set apart.

The more we gather, the more vice spread,

A contagious evil, that infects our heads,

It shines more and appeals everyone with its beauty of bride,

I indulge in it because my fellows are taking with pride.

And soon we are trapped in a web, well designed,

Then, the aim to adopt virtue is aligned.

For virtue is not just a thought or a deed,

But a way of being, a heart that proceeds.

A vice is a kind of seed, planted in a field fertile,

The field is a company that a man joins for a while.
